raised eyebrows in the WEC paddock to top Free Practice 1 at Silverstone, with Norman Nato taking the top spot in the No. 1 Rebellion R13 Gibson.

Nato’s time of 1:38.860, was enough to usurp the Toyota’s by some four-tenths of a second, with Sebastien Buemi taking second in the number 8 TS050 Hybrid ahead of the number 7 sister entry.

The second R13 Gibson was just under a second off the leading pace in fourth ahead of the Team LNT’s Ginetta G60-LT-P1 AER.

In LMP2, Paul Di Resta topped the timesheets for United Autosports  with a 1:43.066, heading Cool Racing and Racing Team Nederlands completed the top three.

Gianmaria Bruni headed of GTE-Pro for Porsche with a 1:55.766 second lap, undercutting former Ferrari teammate James Calado – who dominated most of the ninety minute session ahead of the number 95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

Jonny Adam steered TF Sport Aston Martin to the top of GTE-Am, ahead of the number 98 sister car, making it a 1-2 for the British manufacturer.
