Jose Maria Lopez edged team-mate Kazuki Nakajima by half a second to finish on top of practice two for the ahead of in third.

 

 

Fernando Alonso went on to set the provisional quickest time during the night session, after recovering from a spin the number 8 TS050 Hybrid.

 

SMP Racing’s two BR Engineering BR1 AERs of STehane Sarrazin and Brendon Hartley were the best on the non-hybrid LMP1’s, resisting strong opposition from Rebellion Racing. Sarrazin’s time of 1 min 43.009 was an impressive half a second off the second Toyota.

 

There was a brief caution period after the DragonSPeed LMP2 of Anthony Davidson stopped on track, but Stephane Richelmi vaulted to the top of the LMP2 order in the number 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing entry ahead of the 36 Signatech Alpine Matmut entry of Nicolas Lapierre. TDS Racing placed third with Matthieu Vaxiviere.

 

In LMGTE Pro, Alex Lynn lead the way for Aston Martin, leading the number 67 Ford GT of Harry Tincknell and the sister Ford entry of Stefan Mucke. A mere three-hundredths of a second covered the top two.

 

Gulf Racing’s Ben Barker set the fastest with the Porsche setting a 1m59.327 late in the  session ahead of the Spirit of Race Ferrari of Giancarlo Fisichella, while Matteo Cairoli placed third in the Dempsey-Proton Porsche.
