All 11 Formula E teams have revealed their driver line-ups for the final in-season test of the 2018/2019 season, with Dragon Racing once again stealing the headlines, announcing 2018 Blancpain GT Series Champion Raffaele Marciello as part of their testing line-up.
Marciello, a product of the Ferrari Young Driver Programme is scheduled to take the reigns of the number seven Dragon car, usually piloted by FE veteran, Jose Maria Lopez. This will not be the first that the Italian has stepped foot inside all-electric machinery, having made his debut following the Marrakesh E-Prix earlier this season, representing the HWA squad in the rookie test.
Dragon has also confirmed that Marciello will be partnered by the newly signed Brazilian, Felipe Nasr, who will continue to get to grips with his new surroundings following his highly anticipated debut for the team in Mexico.
While Dragon has preferred to rotate their driver choices in recent times, their contemporaries up and down the grid have chosen to stay firm on their line-ups, with all ten remaining teams choosing to give track time to their established drivers, meaning it is a star-studded line-up. Arguably, this highlights the critical nature of the final in-season test to the teams, with it the only ‘free’ time on track remaining for all 11 FE teams.
The in-season test is set to run on Sunday, 17th February, following the weekend’s official action, running from 09:00 – 12:00 in the morning session, followed by an afternoon session from 14:00 – 17:00 local time.
