will make an unscheduled return to the Racing team for the 2018/19 season-opening Ad Diriyah ePrix.

Rosenqvist left the Mahindra team at the end of last season after making the decision to move to IndyCar in 2019 with Chip Ganassi Racing. Rosenqvist was immediately replaced at Mahindra by Pascal Wehrlein.

But with Wehrlein unable until 2019 due to his Mercedes junior programme, Mahindra have once again called on Rosenqvist’s services.

“I’m happy to be back with the guys at Mahindra Racing again for Riyadh”, Rosenqvist told Autosport.

“It will be a special occasion, marking the start of an exciting new era for Formula E with the commencement of season five.

Rosenqvist didn’t take part in pre-season testing in pre-season testing, but was invoilved in initial development work on the Mahindra’s Gen2 vehicle.

“Whilst I didn’t attend the official pre-season test in Valencia, I did a lot of running in the new car during its development stages this summer, so I should be prepared.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to work with the team once again and will do my best to help launch us into the new season with success.”
