While the unexpected cool temperatures in Morocco didn’t help grip levels, it would give teams some leeway in strategy by not having to worry too much about battery temperatures. One aspect of concern however was visibility, with rolling fog decreasing visibility.


Venturi GP revealed that a software bug was the cause of the stoppages during FP1. They believe they have found and removed it in time for this session. Edoardo Mortara was certainly enjoying more seat time with minimal problems throughout the second session.


Antonio Felix Da Costa and Daniel Apt wasted no time in setting 200kW laps with half the grid following suit. Abt and Jaguar’s Mitch Evans topped the timesheets early on with Sam Bird not far away in third.


The top twelve drivers were already under last year’s pole time set by Felix Rosenqvist, while Sebastien Buemi was showing excellent pace in P6 despite still only running 180kW




 Antonio Felix Da Costa gave MS&ADAmlin Andretti to go P1, only to be usurped by Alex Lynn and then Nelson Piquet for the top spot. Meanwhile Jose Maria Lopez put Dragon in third to give the team a much needed improvement.


Strangely off the pace was championship leader, Sam Bird.


The last word however would go to , proving that his speed in Hong Kong was no fluke by edging team-mate Lucas di Grassi, followed by Sebastien Buemi, who was in turn less than a tenth ahead of the Jaguars of Mitch Evans and Nelson Piquet.
