Timo Bernhard struck back for Porsche in the final practice for the by setting the quickest tim on his first flying lap in the number 2 Porsche.

 

Bernhard’s time of 1m42.438s was seven tenths ahead of the number 1 919 Hybrid of Neel Jani despite being short of Toyota’s best in Thursday practice.

 

Toyota finished third and fourth in FP3, with Mike Conway’s 1m43.902 in the number 7 TS050 Hybrid, the best of the Japanese outfit.

It was a broken session however, with a red flag shown with 29 minutes remaining, to attend to the number 86 Gulf Racing Porsche, which had caught fire.

 

Ho-Pin Tung put the number 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca on top of LMP2 with a 1m48.879 ahead of the sister Jota Sport entry of Tristan Gommendy and the 26 G-Drive Oreca in third

 

In GTE Pro, the number 51 AF Corse Ferrari of James Calado finished on top while Matt Griffin again set the quickest time in the GTE Am in the number 61 Clearwater Racing Ferrari.
