Andre Lotterer paved a 1-2 for Porsche during a wet and dreary opening Free Practice for Sunday’s Six Hours of Fuji.


All drivers having to navigated running streams and standing water, with number of cars running off-track, albeit steering clear of the barriers.


Lotterer’s 1:35.527 lap in the number 1 Hybrid was just over a tenth quicker than the sister number 2 car of Earl Bamber with the pair of Toyota TS050 Hybrids nearly half a second shy of the best from the boys from Weissach.




Jose Maria Lopez slotted in a1:36.010 lap in the in the TS050.


The number 37 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca 07 Gibson headed the LMP2 field, with Alex Brundle’s 1:42.735 second lap putting the Brit on top.


In GTE-Pro, Porsche, meanwhile, mirrored their LMP1 stable-mates, with Michael Christensen topping the class in the number 92 the No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR  ahead of teammate Richard Lietz, in second.


In GTE-Am , the nummber 54 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GTE of Miguel Molina pace showed the way, with over half a second in hand over the number 61
