Briefly retired Williams Formula 1 driver will test the current Jaguar I-type 1 next week as press release from confirms.  

 

Having already explored options under the impression he would be leaving Formula One at the end of 2016, the Brazilian had already made contact with Jaguar’s Formula E Team, given the outfit’s strong association with .

 

However, since rejoining WIllliams to replace new Mercedes signing Valtteri Bottas for 2017, Massa is still keen to sample Formula E machinery after hes Formula 1 career finally comes to an end. 

 

“Since announcing my retirement last year, I had been assessing my options and there were a number of opportunities presented to me that I could have pursued”, said Massa.

 

A statement from the team read: “Panasonic Jaguar Racing received a request from Formula E to give Felipe Massa the chance to experience a Formula E car.

“We are happy to provide this opportunity” he later adds.
